Arm Swing Clinics
Arm Swing Academy is trusted by:
So much more than a clinic
We partner with clubs to integrate efficient, healthy arm swing development into both athlete training and coach practice design
Athletes learn to generate more velocity with less effort
Coaches learn what to cue, how to progress it, and how to protect athlete health
You leave with a clear, repeatable system — not just drills
The result: healthier, more confident attackers and long-term development
What we work on
✔ Throwing + attacking progressions for efficient mechanics
✔ Shoulder + spine strength, mobility, & control
✔ Video-informed mechanical changes
✔ Position-specific attacking + serving development
✔ Clear priorities for producing velocity
✔ Education so athletes + coaches understand the “why”
How it works
✔ 2 - 2.5 hour sessions
✔ Athletes attend 1 session
✔ 10 - 12 athletes per court (max)
✔ 1 Arm Swing Academy Coach per court
✔ Clubs typically run 2 - 4 courts per session (4 max)
✔ Your coaches attend to see the system in real time!

Education to better understand where we are going with your arm swing and why
"I started to open up my shoulders during my swing and my shoulders didn't hurt when I swung and my hits were more powerful
• • •
"I was able to hit harder and realized that what I was doing in the past is why my shoulders would hurt"
• • •
"The arm swing session helped my hitting a lot. The rotation of my hips really did make my spikes a lot more powerful"

Not Your “Typical” Clinic
The arm swing is a complex, powerful skill requiring fluid movement and full-body coordination. In our clinics, we guide athletes through exercises that build ownership over these positions, preparing them for technical drills involving high levels of rotation. Rather than jumping straight into hitting over the net, we start with simple, focused repetitions, gradually increasing in complexity. This process helps athletes develop stronger, healthier, and more efficient arm swings—often within just a few hours.
We emphasize athlete awareness, explaining the purpose behind each drill and encouraging intentional, deliberate reps. Mistakes are expected and welcomed as part of the learning process, helping athletes mentally open up to change. Before introducing volleyballs, we focus on efficient throwing patterns using wiffle balls, training athletes to move like baseball pitchers—who produce the fastest hand speeds in sports.
Only after building this foundation do we return to traditional volleyball drills, applying new movement patterns to hitting and serving. Our focus on body, mind, and technique creates lasting transformation, even for athletes who’ve previously struggled to improve. We recognize that change often starts beyond just technical tweaks, so we develop physical prerequisites like shoulder mobility and rotation capacity. Athletes also gain access to online resources to continue progressing long after the clinic ends.
