ASA x Elite Volley

We are excited to partner with Elite Volley to support the arm swing development of their incredible athletes.

The goal of this partnership is to develop more powerful and efficient arm swings: Elite Volley athletes will receive consistent and targeted coaching, feedback, and training guidance from Arm Swing Academy coaches.

  • Nick Del Bianco

    Edmonton, AB

    I played volleyball at the varsity, professional, and Canadian National Team levels. At Trinity Western University, I was a 3-time First Team All-Canadian and 2015 Player of the Year, winning two national golds and one silver. After university, I played pro in Germany, France, Switzerland, and India: I was part of the Swiss Championship team in 2018.


    Coach Mischa helped me take an uncommon approach to off-court training that made my body more resilient. That mindset helped me reach new performance levels and stay healthy. Now I help athletes train smarter, stay pain-free, and play their best volleyball.

    My journey in sport began at a young age, when I fell in love with the sport of volleyball. Not long into that process however, I began to be riddled with injuries and I later realized that this was also happening to athletes all around me - our bodies and minds were breaking down at an alarming rate!

    I became dedicated to discovering the best strategies to recover from, and prevent future injuries and mental crashes. This path taught me about myself, movement, psychology, and athlete resilience. Now I help athletes realize that they don’t need to accept injury, exhaustion, and anxiety as the status quo - there is such a better way!

    I played volleyball for 10 years - school, club, Team Alberta, and college - before becoming a coach. Back then, I thought pain and injuries were just part of the deal. I only cared about performance, not how I felt. While studying Personal Training, I realized much of that pain was avoidable. Years working with non-athletes taught me how to help bodies feel good and stay healthy. As a Sports Performance Specialist, I knew I wanted to blend performance with well-being.

    Arm Swing Academy was the perfect fit - where performance and resilience go hand in hand. Now I help athletes play harder, hurt less, and feel better on and off the court.

    Toronto, ON

    Like Coach Nick, I played volleyball at the varsity, professional, and Team Canada levels. At the University of Windsor, I earned All-Canadian honors and 2 OUA bronze medals. I represented Canada at the FISU Games in Taiwan (2017) and Italy (2019). In 2019, I played pro in Germany, but COVID cut the season short.

    Back in Canada, I began focusing on helping youth athletes reach new levels. I love creating spaces where athletes can grow, fail, and thrive.
    Joining the Arm Swing Academy lets me blend my passions of sport, learning, and long-term health. We help athletes improve, stay healthy, and love the game longer.

  • Justin Yee

    Vancouver, BC

    I played club and collegiate volleyball, spending three years competing at Capilano University. After my playing career, I worked as an Athletic Therapist for the UBC Men’s Volleyball Team for two years.


    Volleyball has shaped much of my life, and I’ve been fortunate to experience it from every angle — as a player, coach, and trainer. With over a decade in the sport and a degree in Kinesiology, I’m passionate about helping athletes understand how their bodies move and how to apply that knowledge to play their best. My goal is to share what I’ve learned through years of playing, studying, and training so others can move confidently and perform at their peak.
